Morning, Afternoon, Evening, never quite sure when people read the blog.

Today I am sharing my starting army list and some thoughts on why I have selected them and how I see them being used on the table

My starting force is going to be 25 points, nice small starting force that will allow me to focus on smaller units and allowed them to be painted in a fairly quick time.

Rather than going for the T-72 list I have selected the BMP Motor Rifle Battalion as I love the idea of having a BMP's racing across the table to disembark their troops into the front line.

BMP-2 Recon Platoon 2 BMP 2's 3 points

BM-21 Hail Rocket Launcher Battery 3 BM-21's 4 points

Total 25 points

With 12 BMP 2's on the table I have a fast mobile force that will allow me to react to most threats that my opponent will put forward. Each of the BMP's are lightly armoured but are armed with the tank killing Spandrel Missile.

The Recon Platoon will be used to scout forward and give sighting's and range for the Hails which will be located behind terrain near the rear of the table.

The 2 Infantry companies will be used to take and hold the objectives forcing the US or German forces to have push me off them.

So next up is to get the model painted and finished and then play a couple of games and see where I am light.

I already can see the need for some anti air as I just cannot see my opponent not taking Cobras or A10's.
